The bull, who captured the hearts of Garden Staters when he wandered onto the train tracks last December at Newark Penn Station, recently received a $10,000 check from New Jersey Transit after they sold stuffed animals bearing his likeness. Ricardo's jaunt delayed trains for 45 minutes.
The royalties were presented as a donation to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Sussex County, where Ricardo is currently residing after his trip on the tracks. Ricardo recently returned to Skylands after spending six weeks in upstate New York battling an infection.
New Jersey Transit said it sold out of their initial run of Ricardo stuffed animals.
